(EGI), Dar Karam provides a high-quality supply chain for leading roasteries and café chains across the UAE. Established in 2012, EGI is led by Mr. Essa Abdulla Al Ghurair, a veteran with over 40 years of experience in the UAE agro-industry. The company manages a diverse portfolio ranging from flour milling and edible oils to a dedicated gluten-free line, supported by an in-house roastery, coffee lab, and modern storage facilities.
About the Plantations
Dar Karam directly sources its coffee from renowned estates such as Old Kent, Hallery, Sandalkad, and Sandalwood in the Coorg region. With access to more than 2,000 acres, the brand maintains a longstanding association with estate owners and their families that spans decades. The carefully selected Arabica and Robusta beans are intercropped with pepper, cardamom, and orange, growing under a two-tier canopy system. This shade-grown, bird-friendly method ensures proper care for the fragile ecosystem of the Western Ghats while lending unique and complex notes to the coffee.
